eBay and the 6i’s
From the diagram above interactivity are places where
people can actively use the website in-order to find what they are looking for,
in this case the search bar and button, as well as the filters (Chaffey.D &
Ellis-Chadwick.F - 2016). All of these are defined in red.
Integration
comes in many forms such as advertisement of other businesses on the website,
in this case eBay has many which inform users special offers (Chaffey.D &
Ellis-Chadwick.F - 2016). The help centre is also present as it helps people
from different countries or people who wish to provide inquires or feedback to
eBay them self.

In
this diagram it shows the intelligence of the website, advertising to me the
recent websites that I have looked at in my browser history (Chaffey.D &
Ellis-Chadwick.F - 2016). In this case Farfetch the online retailer, appears as
I move down the home page of eBay.
3.Individualisation
(eBay Inc, (1995-2018),
eBay, [online], Accessed: 21/8/18 <http://www.ebay.com.au/>)
In
terms of eBay’s individualisation, this diagram shows how eBay can be
individualised to suit the need of each consumer (Chaffey.D &
Ellis-Chadwick.F - 2016). For instance, by creating an account in the top left
you can then save your favourite items and look at them in the saved tab as
shown. This is helpful because once you decide to buy an item it will appear in
your cart and you can either chose to continue to shop or purchase the item.

5. Industry Restructuring

(eBay Inc, (1995-2018),
eBay, [online], Accessed: 21/8/18 <http://www.ebay.com.au/>)
In
the diagram above it shows that the middle man can be taken out of the picture
and people can access other retail sites through eBay (Chaffey.D &
Ellis-Chadwick.F - 2016). The middle man being eBay, so people can purchase the
item straight from the dealer in person.
6. Independence of location
(eBay Inc, (1995-2018),
eBay, [online], Accessed: 21/8/18 <http://www.ebay.com.au/>)
Independence
relates to the places that you can use the site (Chaffey.D &
Ellis-Chadwick.F - 2016). Via mobile or through an app. Depending on your language
background the site can be changed to suit the need of each individual. It also
allows consumers to explore the other companies affiliated with eBay.
